1.  What items are suitable for donation?

A: The Rotary Donate A Car program focuses on any motor vehicles, running or not.  Other items such as motorhomes, boats, and motorcycles may be saleable through our program if in good running condition.  Phone us directly at 1-888-431-4466 with your enquiries.

2.  What geographical areas does the program cover?

A: At this time, we cover the Greater Lower Mainland from Horseshoe Bay to Hope!

3How does the donation process work?

A: You can reach us at www.rotarydonateacar.ca and complete the online donation form  and we will contact you; or you can  telephone us directly at 1-888-431-4466 and one of our customer service representatives will help you make the arrangements for the pick-up or delivery of your donation.

4Is there anything I must have in order to make a donation?

A:  To donate a vehicle of any sort you must have the Owner's Certificate of Insurance and Vehicle License showing the V.I.N. (Vehicle Identification Number).  If this document is lost, you may obtain a duplicate from ICBC. 

You must sign a document that says you are authorized to donate the vehicle and that it is free from any liens.  (*Some exceptions may apply.  Please call us to enquire.)

5Is my vehicle worth donating?

A: Call our friendly staff at 1-888-431-4466 and they will be pleased to give you advice.

6What happens after I donate my vehicle?

A:  Our experts will determine how your vehicle will generate the greatest donation value.  On this assessment your vehicle will be refurbished for sale or processed through our recycle program.

7May I direct the proceeds of my donation to Rotary Polio Eradication Project?

A: Should you wish to so designate, our White Rock Millennium Charitable Society would direct the proceeds to the Polio Plus Funds to help eradicate polio worldwide.

8How soon may I expect my receipt?

A: Within 4-6 weeks after your donation has been sold.

9Who issues my receipt and how much will it be for?

A: The registered charity of the White Rock Millennium Rotary Club is the White Rock Millennium Charitable Society. They will issue the tax receipt.  Your receipt will be for the full amount of the proceeds received for your vehicle by our Charitable Society.

10What should I do if I think I have an item for donation but not a vehicle?

A: Either contact us via the website donation form or telephone us at 1-888-431-4466 and one of our friendly Rotary Club representatives will be pleased to discuss your donation with you. We will arrange a mutually convenient time to meet you and pick up your vehicle donation.
